Another luxury for your Iphone

So i came across this site while browsing around. It's called MPassort and actually a brilliant idea for us Anglophiles. MPassort is a mobile service which gives it users listing of english speaking doctors within a 25 miles peripheral. So just in case you happen to be in Machu Picchu, you have an iphone and have a medical emergency, then you can locate an english speaking doctor in the vicinity. Probably not!! From my observation, the doctor has to be in their network (ie one of the 4200). Still something I wouldn't mind signing up for when next i plan to go to Baforchu!!! ;)

Back from Hiatus

I know i stopped writing for a while. There is no excuse there. I will continue to post more interesting finds.

TechCrunch50 Conference

For those who know me, I work in technology. I am usually keep an eye out for what's going on, new developments, or tech conferences. So for the past two days, i've watch livefeed of start up companies. Today's companies focus on finance and statistic (i'm a numbers girl). EmergInvest, Me-trics, Ichart are just a few present. The idea behind Me-trics is interesting but i'm just not sure how long the idea will continue to seem interesting to their target market. Another I came across is Quant the News. Now the guy who started this is an AI (artificial Intelligence whiz). He used some algorithm to aggregate news feeds and convert to data (number). Say if there is positive news on a company, he manipulates this information to data which can tell you if you should invest in this company. Interesting. I will signup for the beta version just to get an idea how this works. More to come later.
